Pros
I thoroughly enjoyed most of the people on my team that I got to work with in my day-to-day life at Advicent. A handful of my colleagues will remain close friends of mine. PTO started out at 4 weeks, but I believe that has gone away for all salaried employees.
Cons
The level of stress and dread that my role caused me to experience is unparalleled by any other job that I have had. The executive team seems to think that Advicent is far more innovative than they actually are. Additionally, I heard through the grapevine that when the company did massive layoffs in early June, the executives took no sort of pay cut to keep more employees on board. If this is true, it paints a selfish and greedy image of their character. In my experience, there is very little room for growth at the company. If you are working in a support role, be prepared to take a handful of verbal abuse, not from your colleagues or leaders, but from the financial advisors that will be calling into the queue. I cannot fault Advicent for these problematic callers, but this is a significant factor that made me anxious about coming into work every single day. Not all of the callers are rude or abusive, but the bad calls stick with you. Eventually I found it difficult to separate work from home, and I carried the stress of working here with me everywhere.
