Pros

The only pros about this jobs is getting to interact with customers on a daily.

Cons

The company has many cons tons of them even from all prospectives customer and employee. For one management does not seem to really care about their employees or customers. They used to tell us that we had to resolve the customers issue and then end the call. They give you 30 seconds in between calls to compete your case which is the detailed notes for the reason the customer called. They are not diverse we get customers everyday that ask for Spanish speakers and we have to tell them that there is not one available at the moment when in reality we don’t have any. Management does not care about their staffs concerns even harassment concerns from staff in management positions gets swept under the rug. Management will literally speak to their staff as if they are children and scold them and threaten their jobs. The systems shutdown everyday for associates and for the customers across all brands we complain to management about these issues and they get brushed off we have had issues with the systems and the mobile apps for customers for well over a year. We are forced to tell customers that their issues have been reported but we do not have an ETA. When customers ask to speak to supervisors we are told we will put them in for a call back from a supervisor but it’s not an actual supervisor they speak with it’s another agent otherwise known as an agent 2. The list can go on for days with cons the CEO Roger Wheeler does not even care about the customers. Customers write him letters all the time and he does nothing.

Pros

Large enterprise environment with exposure to complex network infrastructure, major vendors, data centers, WAN, firewalls, and large-scale operational processes. There are good people on the team, and the environment itself can give you visibility into how a large company manages network services.

Cons

The Network Engineering role is not really hands-on network engineering. Much of the actual technical work, implementation, configuration, and deeper engineering execution is handled by HCL. Internally, the role can feel more like vendor coordination, ticket chasing, and driving HCL than actually owning and engineering the network yourself. If you are expecting to configure, troubleshoot deeply, build solutions, implement changes, and stay technically hands-on, this role may be disappointing. It can feel less like being a network engineer and more like being an HCL babysitter with a network engineering title
