Pros
Fellow Aire Serv owners are great and I’ve never met one that didn’t go out of their way to help me out.
Cons
I’ve been an Aire Serv franchisee for 7 years now. In my experience with Aire Serv I have yet to understand what is proprietary about their “systems and processes”. I do know that any systems that you are required to use will be at your expense and additional to your royalties. Aire Serv and Neighborly espouse a code of values that seem to go by the wayside when inconvenient. If you are thinking of buying into an Aire Serv franchise I would be very wary. Know that coming into the franchise agreement Aire Serv will be made whole whether you succeed or fail. Matter of fact. If you do fail you will be personally liable for any loans that you may have made in order to start your business. You will also have Aire Serv come after you for the remainder of your unpaid royalties and remaining note on your territory. Contract is ten years. So, if you fail in two years you will still be liable for the remaining eight years of minimum royalties. If you “roll in” an existing business that business will now belong to Aire Serv. If you’re thinking of buying into Aire Serv be sure to ask how long the average Aire Serv is in business. Ask lots of questions.
