Pros
Good benefits: Medical, 401K and PTO accrual arehard to beat ( but not worth the agony)
Cons
Culture of blame and shaming, not enough trust in people who do actually work extremely hard. Lack of Unity on all levels! micro-management in all the wrong areas and not enough support and direction where it's needed. Policies and processes implemented with no-follow through. Lack of accountability for those in Power Slow to implement change and make decisions Antiquated systems that have constant bugs and outages. No grace for the lack of productions these technical issues cause. Complete oversight on terrible changes within operating system and the impacts to production and operations staff Favoritism, abuse of power, gossip, unwillingness to listen or care is rampant throughout upper management. Staff input is not valued and our experience and frustrations with poorly implemented processes is disregarded. (Ya know, I would actually Love to do a good job!) Lack of coverage during time off for productions staff or management of overflow. Staff are over-loaded in workloads Lack of trust in loyal, hard working employees Below average compensation plans. Bonus plan is structured so that you are penalized out of production bonus if you incur Overtime which is unavoidable due to workloads, lack of efficient operating systems, overloaded Underwriting and closing departments NOT customer orientated and rarely closes mortgage loans on time. Underwriting team is not flexible, often rude and shaming and open communication and transparency between departments is severely lacking.
