Pros

The salary and benefits were good. Job security was also good due to nominal accountability. The retirement contributions were OK.

Cons

No room for career growth based on work ethic and abilities. Poor leadership from CIO, senior management, and most middle management results in aimless, wasted efforts and badly implemented solutions with a general lack of caring. Nominal accountability. Dishonest management. Unmotivated, continually frustrated employees. If you are looking for an opportunity to learn new technology and grow your career then do not apply here. If you are looking for an opportunity to collect a paycheck at the expense of your skills deteriorating then apply here.

Pros

Tons of opportunities to move positions and switch roles, and with multiple locations, you can switch states too. If upper management likes you, you can do no wrong and get away with anything.

Cons

Micromanaged for everything. Crap retirement benefits, unless you started in the 70’s or 80’s. Supervisors who suck don’t get fired, they just get their responsibilities taken away. Sticklers for the unimportant garbage, but lax when it comes to actually doing work. A lot of favoritism and nepotism. Non-stop rumors. No clear communication from management. Management is delusional and oblivious to facts.
