Pros

The work was very interesting and challenging and the people were great to work with. The work felt pretty meaningful since we worked in the military language training space.

Cons

A lot of management decisions didn't make sense; a lot of management overhead in general. Due to being a government contractor there was a lot of weird restrictions on things (free sodas not allowed) and time tracking was a bit onerous.

+ Work can live and die with the contracts with clients + There were lots of layoffs and contracts that were not extended due to the above con

Pros

Owners who never think they are above any of their employees. Emphasis on not just working, but also having a personal life. Flexibility regarding time off for personal pursuits and interests. Casual and relaxed working environment.

Cons

Pay is not always competitive with other companies. At times it appears the wrong people earn more money than the people who deserve bigger salaries. More sick time and vacation time should be granted. No parking.
