Pros
As others have mentioned the work environment is the best I have ever worked at. No micro managing and you are treated as an professional. The talent level here is top notch and I enjoy learning from my colleagues each day. Although Alfresco is getting larger and growing it still feels small. As such you are expected to perform, be creative and willing to adapt quickly as situations change. Some might find this is a problem, but being able to quickly pivot based on customer/market/board input even at this size for me is a sign of a very healthy company.
Salary and benefits are very competitive and I feel higher than competitors. Significantly in some cases. Top sales people do very well.
From a sales/competitive perspective, being the only enterprise level open source Content Management Software makes it a hot company to work at with great growth potential. This is especially true given the worldwide move to open source technologies. We are regularly replacing legacy systems at those competitors largest customers.
Cons
Marketing has had issues in the past. With some additional hires and newer strategy it is starting to pay off.
