The CEO makes bad people, product, & directional decisions that are very short-sighted, and badly informed. The CEO changes his mind all the time and can’t stick with one strategy and see it through before giving up and moving to another one. His singular focus is to sell the company or take it public and make a ton of money from that event. He doesn’t care what happens to anyone or to what’s left of the company that remains after that event. The company is is thus in constant state of crisis-mode managing its own top down created internal dumpster fires instead of focusing on customers, products, and competition. This poor leadership from the top trickles downward in almost every aspect of the company, poisoning it’s ranks with fear, intimidation, and constant disruption of its healthier business parts. Upper management micro manages aspects of the business they don’t fully understand. They listen to and get advice from a few bad actors in the inner circle who give poor, one-sided council.
Presenting alternate points of view with management is frowned upon and often punished. End result is that company often goes in wrong direction for months / years and wastes a lot of money and good people. This pattern has been evident for some time now and keep repeating.
It is hard to find any aspect of the company that is functioning properly after so much internal disruption.
