Pros

There are good people who work here still. This company used to be an exceptional place to work, but situation has gotten worse these last five or so years.

Cons

The CEO makes bad people, product, & directional decisions that are very short-sighted, and badly informed. The CEO changes his mind all the time and can’t stick with one strategy and see it through before giving up and moving to another one. His singular focus is to sell the company or take it public and make a ton of money from that event. He doesn’t care what happens to anyone or to what’s left of the company that remains after that event. The company is is thus in constant state of crisis-mode managing its own top down created internal dumpster fires instead of focusing on customers, products, and competition. This poor leadership from the top trickles downward in almost every aspect of the company, poisoning it’s ranks with fear, intimidation, and constant disruption of its healthier business parts. Upper management micro manages aspects of the business they don’t fully understand. They listen to and get advice from a few bad actors in the inner circle who give poor, one-sided council. Presenting alternate points of view with management is frowned upon and often punished. End result is that company often goes in wrong direction for months / years and wastes a lot of money and good people. This pattern has been evident for some time now and keep repeating. It is hard to find any aspect of the company that is functioning properly after so much internal disruption.

Pros

Awesome coworkers that actually care about what they are doing and are loyal to a company that continues to dump on them.

Cons

This company doesn't know what it wants to be when it grows up. -The Execs all moved to Miami and haven't visited the plants in over 3 years (way before COVID). They are so detached from reality that they have no idea what is happening in their facilities. -Execs bully their minions just to get financial gain for themselves. They don't care if the plants work 7 days a week, just as long as they make their numbers. -During COVID, they kept reducing positions, but increased the work for salaried employees. They also chose not to give anyone raises AND reduced pay for many salaried employees. More work for less pay is the Alliance motto. -The Corporate HR employees are pretty useless. Good luck getting any questions answered from anyone. You leave multiple voicemails, send emails and get no response. -Quality has tanked - there is a reason almost every single employee in the Quality Engineering department has quit. -It's pretty clear they are moving more and more jobs out of Ripon (hourly and salaried combined). Many engineers and technicians were let go and told their design engineering jobs are being outsourced.

Pros

This company used to be a good company to work for… Ever since Mike Schoeb was made CEO, it’s gone downhill big time.

Cons

Poor leadership comes from the top of this company, driven by greed to sell the company and make a higher multiple for its private equity ownership. The strategy to go direct, squeeze its workers and cut costs in products has eviscerated the better inner workings of this company and left it in shambles. The constant change of direction and shuffling of the cards to look for different results has caused mass exodus of all the knowledgeable, good employees. Micromanaging / know-it-all Leadership dictates down every move that was once trusted to experienced, professional employees who were more in touch with the markets and the customers. The result is a ship that sails in the wrong direction for months, wasting people and resources. When the end of every year comes, management will throw the wrong people under the bus for doing exactly what they we’re told to do and then change direction again with little to no input on strategy other than their own hunch based on a few bad inside actors who surround the CEO.
