Pros
Literally the only good thing is there is a 401(k) match. But don't worry that benefit will be offset by your extremely high premiums for really bad healthcare coverage as you subsidize all the unhealthy people in NC.
Cons
Hands down the worst run company from many perspectives I've ever worked with. They have all the problems that plague both small and large companies but none of the benefits like efficiency in most public companies. Allscripts perpetually can't pay their vendors on time making it impossible for business leaders in the company to manage their budgets or hire good talent. Everything is nickle and dimed. Went from working with brilliant people in the Bay Area to some of the worst co-workers I've ever been exposed to in NC and India. We have all the typical problems of outsourcing corporate functions to India (communication/time zone, culture), but their work product is awful. All the recruiters in Raleigh know Allscripts is a joke and won't send them good talent. They keep acquiring talent through buying good/great companies because they need warm bodies but anyone with half a brain is gone within a year. This leads to perpetual under-staffing so the people that are still here are being paid like a responsible public company that works from 9-5, but you'll be expected to cover the burden of fewer staff and work way more. Leadership consists of the type of people that will tolerate such a dysfunctional company for decades, not who you want leading your company.
