Pros

For the most part, the employees in the trenches (lower level management and below) all get along well and work together well. Job security is pretty good with what is happening in Healthcare currently. You get a good amount of PTO.

Cons

The executives are clueless at this company. They have no idea what is going on in the trenches or what it takes to get our jobs done in the trenches. We are asked to do way too much with way too few resources. The executives play as many games as they can to pay you as little as they can and make you feel like you are not working hard enough. Then they turn around and try to make you feel like it is some honor to work at Allscripts and that you are saving the world by working here, etc. I think the CEO thinks we worship him or something. There is so much corporate game playing at this company that it is pathetic and you put up with all of it for a average to below average salary. The policy also seems to be get every sale at all costs......my product line operates in a state of chaos most of the time...very stressfull. We just had to review ourselves for our employee reviews where we were asked to compare ourselves to the companies "Marketing Fluff" acronym, CLEAR (C=Client Focus, L=Leadership, E=Excellence, etc.) Kind of ridicuous as if an employee needs to compare themselves to a foolish acronym to do their job well, there is something wrong here but this is just more of the corporate games played at Allscripts. We will probably all be replaced by teams in India anyways as that is the way Allscripts seems to want to go............
