Pros

1)Ability to take voluntary time off when available and same day paid time off. 2) Work from home

Cons

Training is about 98% Role playing and 2% everything else. Coming in as a licensed insurance agent with experience, this is not a position for someone new to the industry they will not teach the fundamentals. They will hardly touch on product and system. You will pretty much start learning everything on the floor. Problem with this set up you are micromanaged by both your manager and quality assurance. They will live listen to your calls and it creates a huge lag in between the conversation with sales agent and customer, ruins the whole flow of sales and then management comes back and coaches you on it. The company is currently mass hiring to please the stock holders, trying to reach a goal while sacrificing the agent pay. Its a bonus structure about 40+ of your policy will go straight to allstate before being able to hit bonus. You basically getting cents for the policy horrible compensation structure. You cant live off your base, they try to manage you by looking at metrics that are 3 weeks delayed, you will never accurately know your KPI's. Leads are mostly from 3rd party agencies, they also false advertise $39 policy (will sent a complaint to my state attorney general for false advertising) and expect us to quote knowing it will not be $39. Back to back calls of bottom tier leads. You will be on a tier base and if you dont play corporate politics you will not get to a higher tier. Out of team of 16 only 2 agents where hitting bonus, and for the amount they was getting and policy putting in, not worth it. You'll make top 1k bonus while selling 60 policies if able to accomplish that. Good luck and dont say I didnt warn you. Please avoid this is the worst company to work for.

Pros

three days off if you get 4 10s, over 100 hours of pto within your first year, the fantasy of making 1000s of dollars of commission a month if you get on a 1 or 2 tier and get lucky with sale.

Cons

shift changes is hard to get unless you been there a long time, matrics are effected by tiers, so if you are place in tier 3 or 4 you barely get calls unless all he people on tier 1 and 2 have calls already and you barely get sales, you barely make any real money if you not making over 80 points of sales which means you can sales 1000s of dollars worth of policies and still not make commission if you not selling enough items in general to make 80 points, a single car policy is worth 1 point, motorcyle and renters are worth 0.5, home is worth 2.5 points. and commission doesn't pay out until you reach at least 80-85 so your first 80-85 points/ 80 plus items of sales won't pay out commission. you get leads if you work inbound but most leads arent even calling for allstate nor have been properly informed of the quote process before being transfered to you.
