There is a lot of charting that needs to be done. You come home and have to chart sometimes for a few hours, and they don't pay you for the charting you do at home. You make money based on the number of patients you see daily or weekly. You have to meet productivity each week, and there aren't always enough patients in your area, so then you have to drive to surrounding cities to meet your productivity. You also have to be on call. With this job, if you're not always reaching out, you can quickly feel overwhelmed and alone. Patients will cancel all the time. They won't answer phone calls or their doors.
