Pros

Flight Privileges and being able to fly/travel on days off. Along with the opportunity to transfer to different stations and different open roles/positions AA May have available anywhere. However, with this position management does not allow you to transfer and leave unless they want you to be gone. This position is not union so you can’t put in a bid for another position or station. You have to actually apply on the internal job site and every application you put in has to go through your manager/supervisor first. So I feel like management definitely blocks and has a hand in who gets to transfer and move up and who doesn’t. Regardless of your resume and skills you bring to the table.

Cons

The pay doesn’t really coincide with the amount of work your tasked with doing. Not everyone is willing to work as a team and it can cause a specific individual to become burnt out from constantly picking up the slack of others. Also, the schedule isn’t very consistent and it changed pretty often. This specific is not a union position. However, management treats it as one whenever it works best for them. So beware. The flight privileges is what kept me here. However, sometimes even that’s not worth it when they constantly oversell flights.

Pros

It provides training for Tier 1 IT Support. You will be introduced to how the first line of IT works.

Cons

The compensation range provided by the recruiter will not be applied when they offer you the role. It will be (below minimum) . The job itself feels like a mixture of IT and customer service. You will eventually take ( calls +messages) at the same time for a very low pay. This department laid off over half of their team members to save cost and to establish an off shore team in India. They have been interviewing candidates for (months) to fill up a few spots but obviously the trick of offering low compensation at the end of the process did not work well. One more thing to mention, forget about moving forward to a better role within the company. Most likely it will not happen based on what I heard from other members. No differential for after hours and night shift pay is the same for night shift
