Pros

Nice office building in Irvine and campuses are well laid out. Some program directors care about diversity and safety. Campus offers free clinics to low income communities. Good career growth for employees who are paid on the low end to move up to "director" level. Easy to move up since there is high turnover and layoffs once a year.

Cons

Management practices are unfair. HR changes are not announced. Policies are unclear and vague. Hire family and friends who do not qualify - politically charged. Company avoids paying overtime by putting employees in exempt positions. Lack of professional development. Employees are not recognized for contribution except for the few "chosen ones."

Pros

It feels incredibly rewarding to be part of an environment where I can make a real difference. Being able to create new and better ways of doing things that positively impact our outcomes is both empowering and motivating. What truly sets the college apart is its strong culture of caring for students, staff, and the community. It’s a place where people genuinely support one another, and that makes all the difference.

Cons

ACC has come a long way in improving its benefits and supporting a better work-life balance. While there’s still room for growth, it’s encouraging to see the progress that’s been made over time. The direction is definitely positive, and it’s clear that efforts are being made to prioritize employee well-being.

Pros

Excellent work environment, culture of caring, good benefits, open to creativity and ideation. Student and associate success are at the heart of ACC. Campuses are clean, beautiful, and modern. They have relationships with many hospitals and healthcare settings.

Cons

Depending on the time of day, parking can be challenging.
