Pros

Ametros does seem to do a good job with work life balance and supporting work from home.

Cons

If you're smart enough to be reading this, you're too smart to work here. Total High School Experience, the only thing that matters is what click you’re in and of the clicks and the cool kids click is only for those who worked at a certain company previously who are never wrong about anything. Zero business experience for any of the leadership and their desire to be popular means decisions change sometimes hourly. Salary and Benefits are well below normal expectations and their philosophy is that employees are simply a commodity fire those with experience and push those responsibilities down the org chart. Of course they tell us how important we are, right before they announce a new round of lay-offs and offshore outsourcing. Sure they have hired some really skilled people, and every time they point out how incompetent the cool click is, they are fired almost immediately. If need a job desperately take it, they will love feeling like they control you...but don’t stop looking.

I first want to thank you for being open, candid, and transparent on your personal experience at Ametros. I hope it is clear that we are very open and interested in feedback on the company, our employees’ experience, and how we can all be better managers, leaders, and colleagues. We take that feedback and challenge seriously. We have never intentionally prioritized excluding employees and will certainly continue to look at ways to make sure that Ametros is a place where everyone feels included and that their contributions are impactful. We have all been remote during the COVID pandemic for the past 7 months doing our very best not only as a company but as a nation to take care of each other, employees and to run companies and businesses in ways that were never contemplated. As I’m sure you are aware, this year Ametros adjusted its goals across all departments to make them more attainable, accelerated full-year bonuses for the entire organization and has been working incredibly hard to ensure our employees feel safe, healthy, and connected to the entire organization, be it through bi-weekly all hands meetings, monthly town halls, or the work that our self-run Culture Committee has organized for everyone in the company to participate in and provide their thoughts. While you are accurate that Ametros was forced to make some cuts during the pandemic, we have added back employees here in the United States faster than many companies. Ametros has not reduced salaries for a single employee and has actually hired incremental employees in the United States since April. There are times when difficult decisions need to be made and terminations are necessary but I would hope it is clear that we have done everything to ensure we can continue to add jobs that would have otherwise not been available in the United States. I know that we, like everyone, have much work to do and we will take the feedback and finds ways to improve. We have successfully grown the company over 50%+ over the past 5 years straight and are expected to grow the company again in 2020. With all this growth comes challenges. And, you are right that successfully growing the company is not enough. We took feedback seriously on being strategically aligned, and this year worked with all stakeholders in the company to design our Strategic Alignment plan, which keeps our core areas of focus for the company and which we discuss routinely and at every Town Hall meeting to make sure we are aligned and on track as a company. We will continue to do more. Thank you again for the feedback and I am hopeful that we can enhance and improve your experience at Ametros. Please feel free to reach out to me directly if you would like and I would be glad to discuss your concerns in more detail and listen to your suggestions on how we can do better.
