Pros

Apptimize is quite granular depending on the team. Let's dive into each. Engineering: this side is stable and experienced. There is a defined culture since most people have stayed on for a while, and it plays out nicely in terms of leadership and function. Don't take my word for it - it's all out on LinkedIn. The product and market is promising. Customer Success: incredible cohesion and culture. Every single one of them is a personality. This is the team that has a member riding away from work on an electric scooter, a pug coming every other Friday, and enthusiasm that seems endless. Many of the team members have been here for nearly a year, and you can (again) see for yourself on LinkedIn. It's not hard to imagine why if you've met them yourself. Enterprise/mid-market AEs: quite capable, performance driven. The senior members of this team include a former Senior AE from Dropbox and a VP of CSE and Product Development. This makes for a clearly defined process and support here is substantial. Strong leadership which knows what it's doing. Every single one of these teams are quite stable, and would receive a recommend on my part in terms of culture, stability, and leadership. Turnover on these teams has been nonexistent for the several months that I've been here. If you are inclined to believe that every company has its good and bad parts, these parts are great. Marketing and Sales Development are the only two remaining teams. They tend to be the teams undergoing the biggest changes as the company has expanded from last year to now. It isn't without precedent: a lot of startups experience growing pains as they begin to scale, and in our case, a temporary lack of experienced leadership (take this with a grain of salt, as I wasn't directly here for this) meant that these two teams oscillated back and forth without long-term plans to guide them. But in recent times, there has been more senior members introduced, so the hope is that these teams will settle on a more stable direction going forward. If you've worked in startups before and are used to the occasional uncertainty of a Series B company, you'll probably find Apptimize to be a fine place. (That's the case with me.) You'll probably also understand that the fit/cultural component is incredibly important compared to a gigantic public company. These are merely the tradeoffs of a GV-funded, YC-backed organization that is looking to grow steadily through the years. If you are not inclined to make that tradeoff, you might not have such a good time.

Cons

- Lack of company scale means there's no formal mentoring on certain teams. - Aforementioned teams also go through frequent strategy changes, and it's hard to learn/grow in that environment, especially for new hires.
