Pros

- Doing cool stuff. A team of really smart, driven individuals manages to pull some of the coolest data-driven findings, visualizations and studies out of their hats time and time again. - Big names in healthcare both as clients and as advisors and leaders. An amazing opportunity to work alongside industry celebs. - Opportunity to work on fun side projects. If you have an itch to dig into something you see in your client's data, you can dig into it - no matter your data science skill level!

Cons

- Not all employees dedicated to healthcare. Sure, it's a tech company, but it's really important for everyone to understand and believe in the mission - and get excited about it. It's hard to do amazing work without a high baseline of passion. - Remote employees suffer. Admittedly, the team is moving away from this and placing a greater importance on being local: it makes such a difference for everyone to have ad-hoc face time. - Lack of diversity in leadership. Lots of great experience coming in, but very little diversity across the top. - Limited attention on growing leaders. The emphasis on growing into a tech company has left a lot of gaps for resources who are not - or don't want to just be - ICs. This is very much in the employee's own hands if they want to grow as a leader. - Not super transparent. Some business decisions are not very well socialized, as is the nature of a board-led org at times. Without clear messaging, normal evolutionary changes can be very uncomfortable for junior resources.

Pros

Remote work, if you're not in Boston or D.C. area.

Cons

Layoffs in an org that's already feeling short-staffed. Again.
