Pros
First 1-2 years were okay. Completely remote which is nice flexibility but there was no teamwork or community. Just getting basic answers to questions was like pulling teeth. No structured training or onboarding.
Cons
Hiring decisions make NO sense. Half the employees are brilliant and talented and rewarded by being expected to work 60-80 hour weeks with no actual overtime. Other half are barely doing anything. I’m somewhat convinced they don’t actually work at all and get away with it since we’re remote. Something really weird is going on there. The WEEK before Christmas 2024, CEO sent out an email about company restructure (last restructure wasn’t even 2 years before that) and a meeting invite for an all staff with 2 hours notice. Said the shift was to satisfy customer and employee needs. Since then, a handful of people have been quietly let go every week. The strangest part? The people being let go are the competent and successful people…(for transparency I was not let go. I started job searching when I noticed how suspicious things were getting. If you’re still an employee, I recommend you start searching now.)
