Pros

Flexible hours and great local team

Cons

Bad leadership in upper management ever since they acquired my company and it has led to many layoffs, many people leaving voluntarily because they are tired of dealing with corporate politics, and people absorbing responsibilities of those that are laid off or quit because management decided it wasn't in the budget to replace them. They seem to care more about the bottom line than the people who are trying to help them get there.

Pros

Strong trust from leadership to get your job done. Positive company culture.

Cons

Corporate is far from some of the sites, as we have locations all over the US.

Pros

Okay pay and benefits for manufacturing work. Overtime......., and the health insurance + 401k match. Safety is taken seriously. The company has invested in training. Good team culture on the floor, not in the office. Most supervisors are experienced and supportive. Opportunities to learn welding, heavy fabrication, and quality control skills that transfer well.

Cons

Production pressure can get intense when big orders are due — occasional mandatory overtime with short notice. Career progression can feel a bit slow if you're not interested in moving into leadership or engineering roles. Some bureaucracy around certain processes that could be streamlined.
