Pros

- Good pay (might not be the best in the industry but still better than bellwether competitors). - Great learnings on multiple technological fronts. - Good exposure to customer network deployments. - Good scope to broaden your skill set by participating in Virtual Tech Teams. - Peer review feedback system and flat hierarchy. - Extremely helpful peers and excellent work culture. More or less works in a startup mode.

Cons

- No yearly increments. You'll get your salary increment when you cross your review level. It may take 1 year, 2 years, 3 years, there is no fixed timeline to it. - Your reviews/rankings are not disclosed to you, so you wouldn't know exactly at what ranking level you are in. - Constant push from managers to be loaded with tasks other than your primary assignment. Task juggling and constant context switching can become too hard at times. - No work-life balance. You'll spend a solid 12 hours working everyday stretching upto midnight, sometimes beyond. You are expected to do too many things on the side. - If you resign, you are an enemy of the state, you'll be pushed out within a couple of days, a week at best. You'll have a tough time guessing whether you left on your own accord or you just got fired :) - In India, the RSUs are pretty less when compared to US peers though we are expected to perform on par with them.

Pros

Top-tier technology. brilliant engineers. Incredible customer support TAC. The hyperscalers are consuming Arista tech at an alarming rate, and that serves as a great testimonial to the integrity of the technology, but the GTM strategy for Campus expansion is nonexistent.

Cons

Campus/Enterprise & Commercial sales regions are on an island of their own. Zero business development teams, zero marketing, zero branding, zero latest generation tools to prospect, research, and extract data to target your campaigns. If you don't have existing relationships in your market, then you're on your own to prospect, generate interest, connect with decision makers, identify "at bat opportunities" and close new business. The Hyperscaler use-case examples aren't enough to win real enterprise business from Cisco and HPE.
