Pros

Great benefits. 401k match, pension, and really nice people at the company. Some of my best friends work at this company.

Cons

Working for this company has showed me how insignificant I am. Engineers are called "resources" and are traded around like Pokemon cards. The management could care less about what your interests are as an employee, if you want to work on a certain product, or if you don't want to be on the same product for more than six months. When I was hired I was told that Arity had rotations and they would rotate you on a regularly but they just keep you on a product until you burn out or quit.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re working hard to establish a friendly and engaging culture and it’s great to hear you’re forming friendships with your colleagues. At Arity, we view our people as a key differentiator and truly value every member of our team - it’s disappointing to hear your experiences have left you feeling otherwise. Our approach to developing products requires a balance of creating opportunities for individual employees while also matching people and products to ensure we develop solutions that surpass the needs of our customers. We are committed to getting better and everyone at Arity has a voice. We strongly encourage you to reach out to your manager or anyone on the leadership team to discuss your personal development and any ideas you might have to improve our processes. Together we can better understand some of the frustrations you’re having and ways we can continue to improve together.

Pros

Remote work flexibility was the primary benefit

Cons

Leadership promotes a people-first culture, but many employees experienced a disconnect between the messaging and reality. Employees were repeatedly reassured that there would be no layoffs, only to later be told that the layoffs had been planned for six months. That damaged trust across the organization. The culture has deteriorated significantly, and many employees feel that leadership is more focused on appearances than genuinely listening to and supporting employees.
