Pros

- A startup with a track to success - Wonderful leadership that really cares about employees and their personal and professional growth - Some of the smartest people in the industry with a wonderful track record - Great work-life balance - Really amazing benefits (especially for size of company) -- yoga, gym membership, culinary team for every meal, 10k desk budget - Empowered to make your own decisions and own your work

Cons

- This is both a pro and a con: The unique structure and culture of the company is so different from any other place and it really takes some time to get used to. Because everyone is empowered to contribute and make their own decisions there can be a lack of direction on projects which can be difficult for individual contributors. With time, I've felt that this is a pro because there is so much room for individuals to grow and learn.

Pros

There's real enduring culture where people care about doing really good work. The culture is friendly with strong camaraderie amongst the individual employees, and managers try to do right by their reports.

Cons

Quarterly reorgs, quiet role reductions, and slowly stripping away benefits has made morale worse than ever. It may have been worthwhile if the business was getting better, but it's pretty flat and attrition is very high. With the introduction of the new CEO, Dan Rogers, there's been a clear shift to hard capitalism and people as numbers. Problems have been solved in short-sighted ways, causing discontent even within the leadership ranks. The company was losing some steam beforehand, but now it's "a ship trying to make a sharp turn and keeling over, just barely not capsizing".
