Pros
Ascend's flexible work hours, the ability to work remotely, and absence of a formal vacation policy are all pros. I feel lucky to have great co-workers. I also think the new CEO has been a beneficial addition thus far.
Cons
Constant change in leadership, planning, etc. It usually feels like there is so much work to do that we're all just treading water to keep afloat, and not dedicating the necessary time to long term plans. Has more of a "corporate" feeling than it used to. The leadership within certain business units isn't very transparent. Sometimes people leave the company and nobody knows until you need their help. From what I've seen, there isn't a clearly defined career advancement ladder, and they often hire new people rather than promoting from within.
