Pros

- Fully remote work environment provides flexibility. - Exposure to large clients. (Staffing)

Cons

- Compensation is below industry standards, with limited opportunities for raises even for high-performing FTEs who exceed targets year after year. - Frequent changes to bonus and commission structures negatively impact overall compensation. - Gender pay disparities and limited promotion opportunities for women not connected to senior leadership and/or related. - Leadership issues: management decisions appear driven by personal agendas rather than organizational strategy. - Business model concerns: the company positions itself as a technology services provider, but in practice, many projects are primarily staffing-focused, limiting value delivery to clients. - Heavy reliance on contractors over FTEs creates instability and inconsistent career growth opportunities. - Men were placed in higher roles, while women in similar roles were demoted.

Pros

No pros at all except WFH

Cons

1) Was sold a full-time opportunity only to find out 6 weeks in that it was an 8-week proof-of-concept contract. They only hired me because of my previous experience with the client. I never would have accepted an 8-week contract and turned down other job opportunities during this time. I was used. 2) They held onto my HSA funds for over a month and could never explain why and only rectified it after numerous emails. 3) They overcharged me on my medical premiums (I never would have signed up for benefits for an 8-week engagement but thinking it was full-time like my paperwork stated, I did) and it took countless emails over 2 months and opening a complaint with the Department of Labor to get my $400+ back. 4) One month after the engagement, I was notified by unemployment that Ascendion said I was fired (which was a lie, the project ended). I had an adjudication interview with unemployment and shared emails with evidence of such. Ascendion never responded which resulted in delaying my unemployment funds for 30 days.
