Pros

Your immediate team will be very close knit, some of the best people I've ever worked for. Benefits are generally good, but the only thing really keeping me here are the people I work with who make the day-to-day enjoyable. Pay is on par with industry average.

Cons

It seems that the higher up the management is, the less they care about their employees. Loyalty doesn't really mean anything and everyone is disposable. Hard work isn't acknowledged, favorites are played. Vacation benefits are minimal (2 weeks INCLUDING sick time to start). Important decisions are always made last minute with no thought process or transparency to the thought process. There's no way to plan the year ahead (promo sales, etc) because things change so much. Goals feel unattainable, so when going over growth we aren't praised about what we DID accomplish, just knocked on for what we missed.

Cons

Lots of constant change coming from upper management. Must be able to adjust on a dime.

Pros

Really the only positive aspect of working in office in tampa is the employees.

Cons

The company doesn’t seem to care about their in-office employees. Over the years they have stopped giving any perks to working for their corp office - there used to be a sense of care with company picnics, raffles, warehouse furniture sales for employees, EOY bonuses, even holiday parties, but all that is gone now. They don’t even offer separate PTO and sick time, it’s all lumped in together. But wait, that’s not all. Last year an employee came dressed up as ICE for Halloween and HR didn’t do anything about it, which was shocking to so many employees but with the political leaning of the C suite, I can’t say that’s surprising at all. And finally, there have been a handful of layoffs over the past few years and one thing you should keep in mind is if you get laid off for any reason, no matter your tenure at the company you will only get one week of severance. There have been several ex employees who have worked for 5+ years and have had very little compensation for it. Save your time and go apply for a company who actually cares about the people who work for them.
