Pros

Working at Astrana Health has been a very rewarding experience. The organization is mission-driven, with a strong focus on improving patient outcomes and delivering high-quality, value-based care. It’s motivating to be part of a team that genuinely prioritizes both community health and innovation. One of the biggest strengths of Astrana Health is its collaborative and supportive work environment. Leadership is approachable and encourages open communication, which makes it easier to share ideas and contribute to meaningful improvements. Employees are recognized for their efforts, and there’s a clear emphasis on teamwork across departments. The company also offers excellent opportunities for professional growth. Whether through training, hands-on experience, or internal mobility, employees are encouraged to develop their skills and advance their careers. The exposure to value-based care models and population health strategies is especially valuable for anyone looking to grow in healthcare management. Another highlight is the company’s commitment to innovation and efficiency. Astrana Health continuously works on improving workflows, leveraging data, and implementing smart solutions that enhance both patient care and operational performance. Overall, Astrana Health is a great place to work if you’re looking for a purpose-driven organization, supportive culture, and opportunities to grow while making a real difference in healthcare.

Cons

While Astrana Health offers many positives, there are a few areas that could be improved. Like many growing healthcare organizations, the pace can be fast and occasionally demanding, which may lead to heavier workloads during peak periods or organizational changes. At times, processes and workflows are still evolving, which can create some inconsistency or require employees to adapt quickly to new systems and expectations. This is common in companies focused on innovation, but it can take time to fully stabilize. Additionally, due to growth and transformation efforts, communication between departments can sometimes be improved, particularly when rolling out new initiatives or updates. Clearer alignment across teams would help streamline operations further. Some employees may also find that career advancement can depend on departmental needs and timing, so progression may not always feel immediate, even though opportunities do exist.

Pros

I have worked for this company for over two years and have had a very positive experience. The pay is highly competitive, and the work-life balance is excellent, with the flexibility of remote work options. The company offers generous PTO and recognizes most holidays. Leadership is supportive, approachable, and genuinely invested in employees' professional growth and career development. Annual raises and performance-based bonuses help recognize and reward hard work. I highly recommend working for this company.

Cons

May have to travel to office.

Pros

Astrana does care for their members, but the same understanding doesn’t resonate with their actions & engagement with partners and employees.

Cons

-Culture lacking, unfortunately leadership is unwilling to acknowledge and work to change. -Disrespect is tolerated, which leads to being encouraged. -Employees voices are not heard and they aren’t given room to influence direction or change regardless of their experience & prior success. -Work live balance is non existent & employees are simply expected to put in extra time routinely. Know to be called on off days. -Infrastructure lacks and commitments to viable solutions continue to be delayed. -Overall commitments with what’s communicated, changes and can easily be viewed by any staff as misleading & lies. -Attrition is excessively high, ask them.
