Emergency Department Paramedic - Paramedic Atrium Health Employee Review

Working as a Paramedic in the emergency department is a complete joke. I will admit, I 100% only maintain my employment there because the pay is nice. 99% of my shifts are spent in the lobby, checking vitals, listening to visitors and patients complain about wait times, and being asked “How much longer til we get to a room?” I occasionally apply a nasal cannula, start an IV or draw blood but otherwise, I have not used any of my paramedic knowledge.
