Pros

The people at Aurora are great - there's still a good 'start-up' type vibe even though the company has obviously grown a lot in the last few years. People dress casually in the office most of the time and we get beer and pizza on a Friday afternoon which is cool. The benefits package improved a lot about a year ago when they brought in extra holiday allowance and a pension - it's now pretty competitive compared to other places. The work can be intense at times but is always interesting and you get to see projects through from start to finish. It's very different to working for a big corporate giant because you feel like your work is quite visible and like you've got a lot of influence. Management is strong and some managers have been here from the beginning, so there's a good development culture. There are lots of chances to influence the way things are done and be creative, and you're always surrounded by really smart people, so it feels like an innovative environment to be in.

Cons

The hours can be quite long at times, but that's usually towards the end of projects and to be honest I've found it much worse at other companies.
