The pay is extremely low for the job. I was lied to several times and nobody is being honest about the pay. I was originally told $17.40 an hour that would start the minute I got the job and I am being paid $15.00 for a job that really needs to be paying more. You are the bounty hunter all day (much more work than Dog, the Bounty Hunter) chasing down Service Advisors and Management who do not want to answer their phone. When you try to tell your Manager about it, you get answers along the lines of "It is just business." The Manager, who I am sure is a good person outside of work, manages by being condescending. The amount of stress on the phone from customers with a strong sense of entitlement makes the job harder. But the WORST thing is the lack of support from Management on just about anything. When I brought suggestions b/c I am a visionary with over many, many years of customer service experience and a customer service, award winning guru with many years of experience...it was met with disdain and lack of support, and an implication to not ask it again. The call center was put together quickly and yet nobody organized anything but they manage by e-mail. I work my butt off and it does not matter. The customers are spoiled, but that is okay, I can handle that. Not having support from those around me who directly affect my job is hard. There is nothing done to foster a positive environment. It kind of hurts.
