Pros

they have a huge market share and dump a ton of money into advertising so customers fall into the dealership. there are opportunities to advance and relocate as long as your current manager oks the move.

Cons

lack of humanity. you are just a number to them. everything that is done is for stockholders. the lack of home/work balance. asking for time off is like pulling teeth, especially if you are at one of the "revolving door" dealerships. you are expected to be there if the doors are open. managers are allowed to have weekends off and have a regular schedule but salesmen are to be there every saturday and every other sunday and this is after working 40-60 hours that week.

Pros

Introduction / pathway into higher ticket sales, negotiation experience and networking with clientele. Some of the best benefits compared to other Automotive companies.

Cons

Unfortunately I’ve dealt with harassment, religious discrimination, and just blatant disrespect on a daily basis. I look forward to leaving.
