Pros

They did update our aging computer network but only to install their own proprietary systems. I guess that's something, right?

Cons

Most everything we were promised when we were bought out by Auto Nation was either a half-truth or outright lie. Our vacation that was supposed to carry over from the old owner - gone. Cheaper health insurance - sure, if you select the worst plan and then pass their biometric health screening (maybe 1 in 10 will actually pass). My monthly health care expenses went from $260 per month to $540 per month. New and improved pay scale - three months after the fact, we still haven't seen it. Hiring in so many people that no technician can maintain an 8 hour a day average. We were put on a 60 day pay guarantee for the transition period but that was cut off after 30 days. Internal communications between departments is non-existent. These people are the crooked politicians of the automobile sales and service industry.

Pros

The department is work from home.

Cons

They do not provide any equipment/laptops and make you pay for your own virus protection. Extreme micromanagement leaves employees with little autonomy and creates unnecessary stress. Frequent layoffs and high turnover. Inconsistent scheduling and long hours, including recurring 10-14 hour days yet ending the week with no overtime. Employees are blamed for slow business conditions they cannot control. Unpaid on-call expectations when the work load is low. Low compensation relative to workload. Management often complains about having to answer employee questions, creating an environment where people feel discouraged from seeking guidance or clarification. Employees are treated as replaceable rather than valued contributors.
