Pros

Company seems to be healthy, competitive, and employs good people.

Cons

From the time I was there, I gathered they hire and fire somewhat quickly. I heard stories about "x intern" or "y new hire", that was let go shortly later. I was also let go after a very short time for unclear reasons. They hire in bulk and keep a very select few. If this is your first job out of college, don't expect to be considered for the long term. They certainly aren't. This is speculation, but I suspect they hire people with not much experience in hopes they are worth much more than they are paid. A significant portion of their staff consists of younger people (at least the programmers). They keep the top performers and lay the rest to the wayside.

Internships are always for specific time periods and we have not had an intern leave during their defined internship period since we rolled our program out 2 years ago. We have had very positive experiences with our Interns and have hired 75% of those who have graduated and are available for full time employment with amazing results. We have only had one involuntary termination in our Developer group in the past year so we do typically hire the best and work to retain these individuals. It is regretful that you’ve had a negative experience and we’d be happy to provide additional feedback if you felt that your separation resulted from unclear circumstances. Please contact us at availityhr@availity.com if you’d like to discuss in person.

Pros

Great culture and people. As long as you’re doing your job and producing, I have not run into any micromanaging etc. work life balance is awesome

Cons

Silo’s are common but getting better each day. That can happen with remote companies. Lots of new products and changes with new leadership etc so need to adapt
