Pros

New building with good technology and nice cafeteria and gym shared with other large companies. Smaller than the last building that was exclusive to ABG, but that one became a ghost town when they did massive layoffs so this one is a better fit.

Cons

Will not tell employees about confirmed security threats to the company despite the rest of the tenants in the building evacuating and shutting down for multiple days because of the threats specifically to ABG. We evacuated because we saw the others in the building doing so and police coming in. Otherwise, pay is far below that of competitors, little to no bonus in recent years, ancient and ineffective leaders who are just starting to turn over this year, and a business model that rewards employees at rental locations for overcharging customers.

Pros

This is a high energy and performance driven culture that keeps work exciting and engaging. You'll work alongside passionate people who genuinely care about the business and each other. Many people have been here for years or even decades, which speaks volumes about the opportunities available. This is a place where success is recognized and celebrated. We all want to win together.

Cons

The pace can be intense, especially during peak periods. Which may not be ideal for someone looking for a slower paced role.

Pros

I've been with Avis Budget Group for 16 years, and one of the biggest reasons I've stayed is the opportunity for growth. I've had multiple promotions throughout my career because the company has consistently been willing to invest in people who work hard, take ownership, and deliver results. No two days are ever the same, which keeps the work interesting. I've had the chance to lead teams in multiple markets, work alongside talented leaders, and continually develop new skills. The business is fast-paced, but it gives you the opportunity to make decisions, solve problems, and have a real impact on both customers and employees. I've worked with leaders who genuinely care about developing talent, and many of the people I've worked with have built long-term careers here. If you're willing to put in the effort, there are significant opportunities to grow professionally and take on increasing levels of responsibility. The company also continues to invest in new technology and operational improvements, making it easier to serve customers and support employees.

Cons

Like any customer-facing operation, there are busy periods that can be demanding, especially during holidays and peak travel seasons. Success requires flexibility, strong communication, and the ability to adapt quickly to changing business needs. The pace isn't for everyone, but for people who enjoy problem-solving, leadership, and working in an environment where every day is different, those challenges become opportunities to learn and grow.
