Pros

-Company car and free gas

Cons

-Upper management runs like a dictatorship and pushes for results through inciting fear tactics on operations managers -Will require you to work 10+ hours munimum but realistically you work 12-14 hours, some days I have worked 18 hours -You are not paid extra for those hours and they will tell you the company car pays for those extra hours, let me tell you it is not worth it -You are micromanaged to the extreme and are called out for missing a goal or taks in front of management team and constantly berated for it, everyone on the management team had their turn -Good luck finding time for a meal break with the amount of chaos and rushes you will receive -Upper management expects you to run scheduling with bare bone staffing to cut costs, beware this will upset both your employees and customers when it gets busy -You will work all holidays, and most likely afternoon shifts until 3 - 4am daily -Mandatory daily scheduling work even on your off days -You will be treated worse than the employees who work for you and it is a thankless job -Absolutely no work-life balance -Some days you will spend the day asking customers to fill out surveys for 8+ hours straight at the returns section

Pros

This is a high energy and performance driven culture that keeps work exciting and engaging. You'll work alongside passionate people who genuinely care about the business and each other. Many people have been here for years or even decades, which speaks volumes about the opportunities available. This is a place where success is recognized and celebrated. We all want to win together.

Cons

The pace can be intense, especially during peak periods. Which may not be ideal for someone looking for a slower paced role.

Pros

I've been with Avis Budget Group for 16 years, and one of the biggest reasons I've stayed is the opportunity for growth. I've had multiple promotions throughout my career because the company has consistently been willing to invest in people who work hard, take ownership, and deliver results. No two days are ever the same, which keeps the work interesting. I've had the chance to lead teams in multiple markets, work alongside talented leaders, and continually develop new skills. The business is fast-paced, but it gives you the opportunity to make decisions, solve problems, and have a real impact on both customers and employees. I've worked with leaders who genuinely care about developing talent, and many of the people I've worked with have built long-term careers here. If you're willing to put in the effort, there are significant opportunities to grow professionally and take on increasing levels of responsibility. The company also continues to invest in new technology and operational improvements, making it easier to serve customers and support employees.

Cons

Like any customer-facing operation, there are busy periods that can be demanding, especially during holidays and peak travel seasons. Success requires flexibility, strong communication, and the ability to adapt quickly to changing business needs. The pace isn't for everyone, but for people who enjoy problem-solving, leadership, and working in an environment where every day is different, those challenges become opportunities to learn and grow.
