Cons
-Extremely obsolete construction company for this size and revenue. Zero investments made in technologies to improve processes. A lot of documents are printed, scanned, or faxed. Excel sheets and Word templates are from the early 2000s. Industry standard programs for project management and estimating are not used here. -HR and IT are almost non-existent as there is essentially one person covering each “department”. Don’t expect to get timely support. You will be left begging for help on a regular basis. -As someone else said, management has absolutely no power whatsoever. Every little decision needs to checked by the CEO. Seems there is no trust in staff or management to make decisions no matter how small. -Reluctant to change anything because “this is how we have been doing it for decades”! -Too much micromanagement. -Absolutely no training and no manual anywhere. Every person on each team does things differently. Nothing is standardized. You get thrown to the wolves. -Do not expect promotions, yearly reviews or incremental pay raises. They want you to remain a cog in the machine. -Pay is way below industry standards. All new hires are college graduates who do not stay long. Turn over has been high.
