Pros

Good team work most of the time. CNE extraordinary person who truly advocates for mental health. Cafeteria food is decent and affordable. Good opportunity for supplemental income.

Cons

High turn over. Low paying rates. Most employees are part -time, young people in their early 20s who are often inexperienced and unqualified for caring for people with mental health problems. Med pass can be overwhelming due to paper charting.

Pros

It was very easy to get overtime. They tend to promote from within.

Cons

Being understaffed made tasks much more difficult for the entire team to keep up, but we’d get yelled at and belittled by supervisors. Many employees have no psych understanding. Micro-managing. Unprofessional staff who boss other staff around. Many staff members are not professional with clients. Lack of compassion. Low pay.
