Pros

Good pay for work at home. They provide just about everything but a desk.

Cons

Horribly disorganized for being a bank. The training is not adequate, constant system issues and lack if respect from certain management. You are not actually hired by BNYM you are hired by a temp agency, even if you do get "hired" on permanently it is with a temp agency.

Pros

Some of the internal platforms have dev teams that would rival any other tech company. Can learn a lot if you end up on one of those teams.

Cons

Completely crap shoot as to if you land on a good team or a completely incompetent one. If you're on a bad one good luck. On a bad team you can expect vague work requirements and huge work loads with unmanageable delivery timelines. Also they're outsourcing to India heavily. Also also, most senior management is completely out of touch with reality and don't understand the tech stack they own (more you interact with them the more frighteningly obvious it becomes). HR is completely incompetent, of course, it's an open secret at the bank.
