Thank you for your feedback. We do tend to be a work hard and play hard culture, and you captured that well. Backstop also prioritizes career development and growth, so we’re happy to see that is part of your experience here. Every employee gets a personal training budget to customize their learning, and it’s wonderful to know when people take full advantage of it. Our software is complex, and is a big part of the learning process for sure. Backstop is evolving in many ways, and we try to balance and honor where people are on the cultural continuum – views vary from the traditional start-up mode to wait-and-see to very future forward-looking / high growth mindsets. To that end, Backstop preserves traditions that motivate people, but is changing to meet the demands of the marketplace. We’d appreciate the opportunity to talk more about your advice to management, if you’re up for it. LOVE the comment about prepare to be dazzled, and welcome any way to clear the path for you to do just that.

Pros

Loved the team I was on. Processes are lock-tight with stellar internal trainings and resources to prepare you for your role. Help was always available from leadership. Pay and benefits were good too.

Cons

Volume of work was way too high creating burnout. Culture was too political and mainly leaning one way. Executives can be way too harsh toward middle management seeing this on more than one occasion on calls.
