Pros
- benefits were better than most companies - salary was competitive
Cons
- leaders are old school, arrogant and cliquish - HR Senior Leader is smart guy who knows the "right buzz words", but lacks the experience and support to make it happen in this culture. Frustrating as the recipient of the overwhelming number of initiatives that come out of this HR shop. - Old school HR at play here ... bunch of personnel type people (although some newbies came on, but they quickly left or are sucked into the culture of HR) - They tolerate horrible leadership (always the employees fault), even in HR and other corporate departments. - Close minded and archaic leadership culture - They boast about not doing layoffs, but they have a SCORE program to help find places for people who would be laid off (this is valuable because most companies don't do this), but there are typically more jobs eliminated than are jobs available through SCORE. I know a number of people who got packages, but baptist calls them separation agreements. In the end it's layoffs.
