Pros
Variety in work, national footprint, huge complex projects and great media attention, large company support structure (IT, training, fleet management, VDC, etc). Cool swag and great bonuses. At times the company does really care about the community (volunteering and fundraisers) but that doesn't always happen in regional offices.
Cons
The safety department is currently burning itself down. Ever since Builders and Company merged together in late 2024, it has been a mass exodus of safety professionals. New leadership is pushing the Builders safety out and nobody at the top is concerned. Let them be their own demise. It was good while it lasted. Wouldn't recommend joining if you're in safety. Field Management/Ops side seems decent and has a good future, but if they can't get a decent safety team back together, the work will fail. There's a lot of dissension at the top in Southfield recently. It's a shame because I really enjoyed my time there, up until the last 6-9 months.
