Baylor Scott & White Health

Engaged Employer

Worked very hard to complete education and was so excited to start a career in healthcare, UNTIL I worked here. - Certified Medical Assistant Baylor Scott & White Health Employee Review

Pros

Benefits were the only consistent "Pro", but were still expensive and slow to receive. Most of the providers were excellent and good mentors that were willing to teach.

Cons

Paying out of pocket for required brand name scrubs (even shipping), Felt like employees vs. management from day 1 of student externship, supervisors are never available when needed, HR department is a joke, hard work & patient satisfaction are NOT rewarded only tenure, zero team building or core leadership roles, reprimanded but never rewarded, very negative atmosphere and cutthroat politics that don't belong in healthcare.

Pros

Working at home but feels like I’m office due to metrics and micromanagement

Cons

The role says it’s mostly outbound calls but you will get hit after the 30 day mark you have to get on phones and answer phone calls. Micromanaging at its finest, never experienced a company with trust issues on employees.
