Pros

Lots of celebrations, some solid staff, client list

Cons

The leadership team doesn't know how to manage the next generation. The leaders are stuck in techniques that manage just the business (just do more- harder not smarter) and don't look at how their actions, comments and their own lack of trying to consistently get better effects the performance of their teams. Employees have blatantly been told by their recruiting manager that he doesn’t have time to answer their questions or to help them when that’s his actual job. The commission plan not only is calculus to figure out but it's one of the lowest in the industry for the same amount of effort and work you can make more in another firm. They did a terrible job during the downturn in taking care of their employees beyond making sure they had jobs. No technology was sent home with staff until almost 6+ months of begging from the team to get basic equipment sent home (a computer!). All celebrations of performance were canceled and no substitute was offered in place of all the milestones achieved. While COVID made for a challenging environment for all firms in this space- other firms pivoted quickly and took care of their top performers in a way that while isn’t the same as a free vacation or big party – still let their staff know they’re important to them beyond the bottom line. As of this writing 2 years of back performance celebrations are still postponed until things get better. Leadership was consistently asked for more responsibility and ability to grow above individual top producer blatantly ignored these desires because it wasn't important until senior staff was walking out the door. Then suddenly all the opportunities for advancement existed. There’s no plan in place for advancement despite what was advertised AND promised over multiple employee’s tenure. If you’re interviewing ask about why there’s been so much turn-over in the last 2 years. It wasn’t just COVID related. If you’re not in the “in-crowd” or the liked inner circle of friends within the team -you are not given equal opportunities to advance your book in the way other members of the team are. Look it’s a paid for performance job – we get that- BUT don’t make it easy on some and then beat up on others because they don’t have the same opportunity.

Hello: Thank you for your review and for sharing your feedback. We appreciate hearing directly from you, though we regret to hear of the negative experiences you had working with our firm. Since the onset of the pandemic last year, our organization has pivoted to remote working arrangements. The core of the what we do to celebrate our accomplishments is, and always will be, in-person celebrations, which we have unfortunately been unable to do ever since last March. In lieu of that, we as a company decided to become a part of outreach efforts, donating thousands of meals to healthcare workers and first responders across the country. Nevertheless, we have also worked hard to make sure the efforts of our team members do not go unrecognized – celebrating our first virtual holiday party in which we gave away over 70 raffle prizes, as well as honored our top performers. In addition, early this year we initiated our Elite Production Gift Program, which is designed to further reward the elite producers in our company. While our teams were unable to meet in-person, our company held countless virtual celebrations, including our first-ever companywide tournament, BH Game of Games. Beacon Hill takes your concerns and feedback seriously. In that respect, we would like to better understand your experience with us so we can address any issues and provide the best experience for our entire team. If you would be willing, please email contactus@beaconhillstaffing.com with additional details of your experience here, and we will address this with members of our management team. Thank you and we wish you all the best in your future career endeavors.

Pros

I can't say enough nice things about Beacon Hill. I work directly with Kathryn Schmitt. Having her in my corner is a true luxury. She communicates quickly and thoroughly and advocates for me with determination and finesse. When we talk, I always feel as if she is really listening and cares. I completely trust her, greatly enjoy our working relationship, and truly value Beacon Hill as a result. Likewise, her colleagues are also very caring and so professional. Being placed by Beacon Hill and having stayed with the same excellent company for over four and a half years says it all.

Cons

Honestly, I can't think of any cons.
