Pros
I have some really great coworkers and managers. I started out making $8.00/hour, which is great for a part-time job. As a college student, I have a very limited schedule during the times I am in school. The lead scheduler was very helpful in working with my hours and never scheduled me outside of my availability. The managers were also great about being understanding when things come up and you have to miss or be late. As long as I had a valid reason and let them know in plenty of time, it was never an issue. Overall, the job has been a positive experience.
Cons
You are expected to do a lot. There aren't specific people designated to put up items left in the fitting rooms or straighten clothes so you have to do all of that plus keep an eye on the cash register. During busy times of the day and holiday season, this was almost impossible. It's also pretty common to have to work through your 10-15 minute breaks. While you do get your scheduled meal breaks, I almost never had the opportunity to take a 10 minute break even during my long shifts. You're lucky if you have time to even run to the restroom.
