Pros

One of the best employers I have ever worked for. The owners and managers actually care about their employees and the community they serve in. They raise money for charity on numerous occasions, make donations to organizations that are having a positive impact in the community and even give back during their own personal time to make the community a better place. This company isnt just about making a profit. They genuinely care about their community and the leadership team of this shop shows it in all they do from their employees to the customers.

Cons

I did not have any cons when I worked there. It does get slow in the winter time and staff is reduced, however they are innovative in coming up with projects, plans and events to make up for the slow times or reduced operating hours.

Pros

It was a super fun environment to work in and a great first job for people in high school or while coming back home for breaks in college. The manager upheld Ben and Jerry's core values and made it a very inclusive place to work, even writing a letter of recommendation for me to send to colleges.

Cons

After some time, you can be promoted, which comes with a raise. Still, it does not increase proportionally with the minimum wage, so new hires end up making almost the same hourly rate as I did for fewer responsibilities. The owner at this specific location prioritized money over creating a good working environment. The reason the job was still good was that the amazing manager at the time was the only supervisor you mainly needed to interact with daily, and not the owner.
