Pros
Corporate culture. The company does a lot to make you feel welcome. You get three free pints of ice cream a day, memberships to local gyms (and a gym in the office) and you can bring your dog to the office. Very laid back and casual. Flexible hours help with work/life balance. If you're one of the lucky ones you are able to be a part of some unique events.
Cons
Management, management, management. The good thing about Ben & Jerry's is that it's a fun place to work, so employees stick around. The bad thing is that the wrong employees stick around. Lots of people who have worked there for years and don't have any motivation to do more than what they've been doing forever. MANY unqualified people in higher up positions; company promotes more on tenure than on experience. (Lots of employees have only worked at Ben & Jerry's their entire lives...yes this means they started as a scooper or tour guide. Wonderful, but that's not going to drive the company forward.) Lack of recognition for hard work. And very clique-y. The veterans don't like fresh talent coming in and messing with the stale status quo.
