Pros

Overall its an easy job. If you are happy making $17/hr and maybe from time to time some commission, than great.

Cons

If you are a true sales person looking to really make some good money they mention to you during interviews....look elsewhere. So many factors work against you even though they claim its missed opportunities by your poor skills. So many factors that are out of your control can cost you all your commission. You can work hard all month and have one bad day on the last day and go home at the end of the month just collecting $17/hr. Management has poor communication skills. Sales managers have no communication skills and lack the personality to make you want to work for them. Upper management is disconnected from their direct sales floor.

Benefits, Culture, Opportunities, Experience and purpose

Cons

I do not have any cons about Best Buy and would work with them in the future as I grow in my certifications and learning for HR.

Pros

Best Buy brought in a strong inclusive culture and a balanced focus on short term and long term priorities when they acquired the legacy GreatCall (now Best Buy Health) in 2018.

Cons

The company is going through turmoil right now (2026). Best Buy sold off its b2b component and is cost cutting at every step in the remaining consumer business. Not a place to build a career right now.
