Pros

The pay is better than most call centers and your co workers seem to be very nice.

Cons

The company is not what it seems. Puts it's self out to be a Cellular company geared towards helping senior citizens with strong customer service. Where the company does have a good product the internal workings are very mismanaged. In most customer service places your main focus is to make the customer feel at home and possibly some selling combined into that. At this company they tell you it's all about customer service till the training starts. They push selling on you as the number 1 priority over anything else. You are required to offer multiple items on every call unless you have a good excuse as to why not to push it ea upset customer. It doesn't matter how nice you are or how much the customer is happy with your service if you do not sell sell sell. The company is very micromanaged with rules and procedures constantly changing. They have pre written scripts that you must use in almost every situation to which many of them are not needed and just cause more issues when trying to sound authentic on the phone vs a broken record or a robot. The company hasn't been around that long and it shows on how mismanaged the whole call center environment is. There seems to be a high turn around with employees as large new hire classes dwindle down to just a few and later most of the remaining ones quit do to the internal issues with a inexperienced company. The company does a good job at fooling you in the beginning as to what you will be doing but lets their true colors show when all your hard work making the customer feel at home is for nothing since you couldn't squeeze another 5-10 dollars out of some old ladies social security check that month. You will hear one thing and a day later it will completely change to something else in which common sense was not used anywhere, with them shortening lunches with barely a days notice for them to meet "service goals" which is a common practice. This is also the only call center to which has provided shifts with split days off as that is not a common in the corporate world but more the waiter and waitress world. STAY AWAY!!!! There are far better jobs out there that are better managed and will offer a more long term employment that will be more stable and clear headed with better leadership.

Pros

Best Buy brought in a strong inclusive culture and a balanced focus on short term and long term priorities when they acquired the legacy GreatCall (now Best Buy Health) in 2018.

Cons

The company is going through turmoil right now (2026). Best Buy sold off its b2b component and is cost cutting at every step in the remaining consumer business. Not a place to build a career right now.
