Pros

*Onsite Gym and free workout classes you can take during your work time *Really unique and robust wellness program *Awesome people to work with *Great Product, Meaningful work to help seniors *Casual dress - people literally walk around in yoga pants all day (even though they probably shouldn't, and should probably shower after working out) *New building with stand-up/sit down desks *a CEO that interacts with his employees

Cons

There is a severe lack of communication in the company, and no one knows what's going on. Managers/Directors/VP's think that their employees are happy, and they are oblivious to the fact that EVERYONE is looking for a new job.... because they are MISERABLE. The other reviews prove that I'm not alone in feeling this way. Software Dev, Marketing, Billing, Commercial, HR, Logistics, IT - EVERY department has a lot of really unhappy people, yet management says "everything is great, nothing is changing, we are just going through some growing pains." - which is just proof that they are completely out of touch and terrible managers. If you aren't a Director or above, no one will look out for you as an employee, and you will have to fend for yourself. There is no direction for employees, unless you are a *favorite* amongst each team, or if you have been there for at least 5 years. There are no development plans, no succession planning, no leveling, and only after begging your leadership is there a slight possibility for promotion (but only if you are next in line). You are just another cog in the wheel to make the executives money. Pay for positions within the corporate office is abysmal. Good luck getting the market rate with them. They claim to promote people, and they do, but for the wrong reasons. Supervisors get promoted Manager & Managers get promoted to Senior Manager or Director when they don't deserve it. People move within the call center, but not at corporate. People in departments get passed up for promotional opportunities and they hire externally because they say they need someone more experienced, however those employees are actually WELL qualified for the role and end up losing out on the opportunity because of some political move that leadership is doing. HR is not to be trusted (even though there are about 25 of them to go to). Almost half of the HR team have left the company in the last year, which should say something too. HR will say you can go to them for any sort of issues you might have, however the moment you do, the entire HR team knows, and yet, nothing happens. There is no coaching, nothing ever gets addressed, and then teams just sit with awkward tension because there is never any improvement. They claim this great environment that's innovative, positive, and collaborative but it's not. The culture is very negative right now, and people dread coming to the office. They try to bribe the corporate office with things like ice cream trucks and taco/nacho bars (which goes against their wellness program by the way, but again leadership doesn't pay attention to that and just does what they want), but they don't take action on the feedback that has been given to them. Best Buy bought out the company and it's changed significantly. It is no longer an agile, progressive company with great perks for employees, but a place with no rhyme or reason to the way it does things, and won't scale to where it is heading based on what Best Buy wants. The company USED to be great, a place where you can come into work and make a difference. I enjoy the work I do for the company, and the people I work with, but it is a toxic environment. It is no longer a great place to work, there is too much red tape, too many layers for everything to go through, and those with their "boots on the ground" don't get any recognition or autonomy in their work. Leadership takes credit for most all good ideas, so be prepared to just be a # to a company, and a work horse that has to work hard, with little/no reward.

Pros

Best Buy brought in a strong inclusive culture and a balanced focus on short term and long term priorities when they acquired the legacy GreatCall (now Best Buy Health) in 2018.

Cons

The company is going through turmoil right now (2026). Best Buy sold off its b2b component and is cost cutting at every step in the remaining consumer business. Not a place to build a career right now.
