An advisor at greatcall or agent in the real call center world is made to feel like they matter that the company cares about your well being and health and it totally seems that way accept for how bias the senior leaders are behind closed doors. I'm considered a frontline manager in the call center ranks. I'm in meetings with all leaders from the different sites so I see it all. I report to a director that is smooth talking but usually gives little direction of value besides the routine micro management of my teams output. Imagine working in an environment where it matters more how much and often you kiss up not how good your team is at doing the job. Add that the director brings Trump politics into conference calls wearing a MAGA hat while telling you it is against company policy. Now add a VP who has an office on site running us ragged with constant changes in direction and nonsensical explanations to support the chaos that he created in the first place.
He makes us work in the building because we're leaders but he is NEVER in the office. One of many double standards. The guy can't even put a coherent and intelligent sentence together without throwing in words that he has either mispronounced or flat out used wrong.
Caring, collaborative, and smart, all fails at the leadership level. If you are looking for a career in a slaughter house masked as a progressive and hip company you found your place. Right now the benefits and pay outweigh the crap. I plan on keeping this job until the pandemic is over. Some advice for new applicants, ask how many new managers they turned over recently.
That will give you an idea for what you are in for. If not for websites like this we wouldn't have a way for outsiders to know what it's really like to work here.
